RIGHT (function)

The RIGHT function returns a (dynamic) string containing a specified number of characters, from the right side of a given string. The function has two parameters.

The first parameter is the string expression from which the rightmost characters are returned. If string is empty, an empty string is returned.

The second parameter is a numeric expression, indicating how many characters to return. If 0, an empty string ("") is returned. On the other hand, if greater than or equal to the number of characters in string, the entire string is returned, untouched.

To determine the number of characters in string, you should use the LEN function.
