SCREEN (function)

The SCREEN function allows you to know the contents of the text memory, given the coordinates. There are two versions of this function: one without the dollar symbol, which returns a BYTE with the value, and one with the dollar symbol, which returns a string with that value. Note that this function will always return zero if it is used in a target that does not have a text mode, and an unspecified value, if you are operating in a graphics mode.

SYNTAX

 = SCREEN(x,y)
 = SCREEN$(x,y)
